2026 Grant Information
HSP Grant (First-Time Homebuyer Grant)
Income-eligible first-time homebuyers may qualify for a grant up to $15,000 to provide down payment or closing cost assistance, greatly reducing your out-of-pocket expense.
*Grants for 2026 will be available beginning March 2, 2026
*Limited to very low, low, and moderate household incomes
*Grant recipients will take a free online homebuyer education course designed for first-time homebuyers to help you prepare for homeownership
*Live in the house for at least 5 years and the grant will be fully forgivable
*With approved credit for qualified buyers
*Subsidies are limited

HOPE Grant
Income-eligible homebuyers may qualify for a grant of $5,000 to provide down payment or closing cost assistance, greatly reducing your out-of-pocket expense.
*Grants for 2026 will be available beginning March 16, 2026
*Household income must be at or below 115% of the Area Median Income
*Not limited to first-time homebuyers
*Live in the house for at least 5 years without refinancing and the grant will be fully forgivable
*With approved credit for qualified buyers
*Subsidies are limited
